Unfortunately, I did not do the first elevator pitch. However, I looked at numerous videos and read the critiques. Several mentioned pauses, lack of hand motion, and looking out of place by smiling or laughing. I did my best to utilize other critiques as best as I could.
Hi John, I commend you on being able to come up with your second elevator pitch without doing the first one. You went out of your way to read some feedback on other pitches to perfect your own, which really showed. Your idea of a healthy fast food chain sounds amazing. As a college student, this would be one of the most utilized restaurants here in Gainesville in my opinion. I hope to see this idea make it big.
ReplyDeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteYou sounded like a candidate with one of their ad campaigns! Job well done! You were very clear and direct with you pitch. You got right to the point and seemed very confident with your pitch. As students we can all relate to being too busy for meals. I think this idea is a huge hit! If you can make it a bit more affordable, then it is a winner! Good job!
John, I think your idea will be awesome if you can pull it off with an affordable price tag. Everyone wants to eat healthy but there is always the more expensive price tag that comes along with it. I think your elevator pitch was awesome especially since you didn't have a first one to tweak and read critiques on! You really drew the listener in and left them waiting to hear more about your product!
ReplyDeleteThis would be awesome if you could pull it off. I struggle with the balance between wanting to eat healthy, but also only knowing how to make cereal. The only thing I can think of is that it would be really difficult to match the prices of other fast-food chains, while providing higher quality food. Like I said though I think it would be a huge success if it worked.
ReplyDeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteFor this being your first elevator pitch I think you do great. I feel like you took the time to actually look at what other people did wrong and was able to use it to your advantage. I can tell you worked hard on this and not many people dressed up but you did so kudos to you on that as well. I think that you really captured my attention from the beginning to the end so great job keep up the good work!
John,
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you went out of your way to look at the critiques on other elevator pitches before you gave your own. You looked the part and sounded the part, and when combined with a great idea that made for a great pitch! You were confident and looked comfortable (the gestures really do help that!) I appreciated how you used questions to pull the audience in, instead of starting with facts/statistics. Good job!
John, I actually love your idea and was just talking to my friends about the need for a healthy fast food restaurant in Gainesville. Its always so frustrating when I'm in a rush and the only options are unhealthy food like burgers and chicken tenders. I love your idea and I think you did a great job presenting it!
ReplyDeleteJohn, I love your idea and I agree that this is something that would make the world a healthier place. The main thing I like about your idea is that the foods would be locally grown. This idea not only offers a healthier approach to life, but also supports the farmers that produce these foods within the community. You did a great job presenting your idea in your pitch and i look forward to learning more about your idea and how you will follow through on it.
